Recently, the World Series came to a halt after the Boston Red Sox won in the 5th game of the 7 game series. The Sox had their last title in 2013, and were clearly eager to take home this year’s trophy.

Last year their chances were stripped by the Astros after being swept in the ALCS Championship series. This year was different though, as they beat the Astros in game 5 to give them hope of another title.

Their worthy opponent, the Los Angeles Dodgers, had a chance to win it all last year, but suffered the same fate of the Red Sox. In a heartbreaking Game 7, the Astros took home their first trophy, leaving the Dodgers anxious to take series this year. They worked hard, but the Red Sox came on top with the best record in baseball and a 0.667 win percentage, the trophy was theirs for the taking.

The Dodgers took a beating to their morale early on, losing two games in a row. Hope was almost lost until they won Game 3 and gained their confidence back, but confidence is not enough to beat the Red Sox. Boston won the next two games to secure their title. They deserved it from beginning to end with tremendous teamwork and an amazing compilation of skill.

Congratulations Red Sox. this will be a title to remember.
