In the coming weeks, we will be publishing a series of articles about the policies and controversies surrounding athletics at the Academies. We will address everything from the clash of academics and sports to the nebulous procedure of obtaining a P.E. waiver. Our goal is not to solve these problems, per se, but simply to bring to light some of the unjust and ambiguous aspects of the current system. As always, we welcome and encourage our readers to comment on the articles, and, if enough attention is raised, perhaps this series will galvanize the administration to make a few much-needed changes.
