Twenty years ago, Dumb and Dumber hit movie theaters everywhere. Starring Jim Carrey as Lloyd Christmas and Jeff Daniels as Harry Dunne, it brought in a huge $247,275,374 gross revenue worldwide and has been considered one of the best slapstick comedies ever made. Finally, there is a sequel: Dumb and Dumber To has landed.

The movie begins in a nursing home where Lloyd has been living for the past twenty years, supposedly because he went insane after being rejected by his crush, Mary Swanson, in the first movie. When Harry visits him, Lloyd reveals that it was all a prank and the two promptly leave. Harry is in need of a kidney transplant and then finds an old letter saying that he has a long-lost daughter from when he was dating Fraida Felcher (Kathleen Turner) in 1991. They rush to find her, but she admits that she gave up their daughter, Penny (Rachel Melvin), for adoption. In classic Dumb and Dumber style, Lloyd and Harry go on a huge and hilarious roadtrip to find her. Full of crude humor, raunchy jokes, and plot twists, Dumb and Dumber To rivals the first flick in amusement and cleverness, and possibly is even a little too inappropriate for its PG-13 rating. The core acting of Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels is not Oscar-worthy; however, it gets the job done and delivers the hilarious script to its full extent. As always, their monumentally childish and off-the-cuff conversations and actions fly off the screen and make audiences burst out laughing. Dumber and Dumber To was a great sequel and box office hit, always the best for those looking for a cheap laugh.
